Principal Lawyer
Brett Pomroy is the founder and Principal Lawyer of Salt Legal, bringing extensive experience across industrial relations, employment law, workplace safety, and commercial matters.
His career began in human resources, industrial relations, and safety within the oil and gas sector, working both onshore and offshore, before expanding across industries including mining, construction, manufacturing, local government, education, transport, and healthcare throughout Australia.
Brett has appeared extensively before the Fair Work Commission, Accident Compensation Tribunal, and Human Rights Commission. He holds a current Australian practising certificate and also co-founded Spinnaker Workplace Solutions, delivering workplace training and education.
Brett is commercially focused and works closely with businesses to provide clear, practical legal advice grounded in real-world experience.

Senior Lawyer
Michelle Hui Meng Ong is a senior lawyer at Salt Legal with extensive experience in civil, commercial, and corporate litigation.
She practised as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya from 1995 before relocating to Australia in 2007, and has been admitted to practice in Victoria since 2011.
Michelle advises on a broad range of contentious matters, including commercial disputes, debt recovery, construction, employment, banking and finance, insurance, property, and estates.
She is well regarded for her practical, measured approach and her ability to guide clients from diverse backgrounds toward effective, commercially sound outcomes.
